Patent calf leather is produced on soft calf skins and finished with a coating to give it a glossy appearance. Lighter color patent leather is prone to absorbing foreign dyes and we therefore discourage prolonged contact with darker items of clothing. Patent leather can become marked with wear and as with all leather products, needs to be cared for in order to maintain optimum condition. Do not use any cleaning products and avoid scratching or excessive abrasion as the texture cannot be repaired once damaged.
